Welcome Message

My name is Mrs. DeMarco. I am the library technician here at Pine Street Elementary. My job is to help you to make the most of the resources in the library, so please do not hesitate to ask if you need any assistance and let me know if you have suggestions on how the library can be improved.

Did you know...? The Online Reference Centre

An alphabetically organized list of resources provided by Alberta Education for K-12 students in Alberta. To view this valuable resource, please check your child’s agenda (page 6) for the username and password (supplied by the teacher).

Looking For Volunteers

Do you like to have things organized? Are you quick at arranging things alphabetically and numerically? Are you a parent that already comes to the school to help out in the classroom? If so, why not stay a little bit longer and come help in the library. Duties would include shelving fiction and nonfiction books, as well as some shelf reading to make sure that the books are in the right spots. This is always an ongoing process and I would greatly appreciate some help. If you are interested please use the contact form to email darlene.demarco@eips.ca or call the school.

At the 2017 Volunteer Tea, Beautiful Hands by Kathryn Otoshi was added to the library collection in honor of our wonderful volunteers.
